Welcome to Royal Oaks of Citrus

Beautiful and abundant live oak trees are the signature feature of Royal Oaks, a deed-restricted community just beyond the Inverness city limits, nestled behind the Inverness Airport and the County Fairgrounds. The community includes stand-alone single-family homes, groups of villas (attached single family homes), condominiums and apartments. Royal Oaks boasts an active community of (mostly) retirees— some Floridians— many who have moved here from other places!

All residents have keyed-access to the clubhouse, cabana, tennis and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, solar-heated swimming pool, library, craft room and exercise/game room. There are ample opportunities for organized recreation and social activities including seasonal events like the Mother’s Day Brunch, the Easter Egg Hunt, and New Year’s Eve dinners. Residents organize and enjoy monthly pot luck dinners from November through April in addition to other entertainment and informational programs. Other weekly activities include dominoes, bunco, poker, shuffleboard, horseshoes, water aerobics, happy hour and bingo.
